I always tell people..stick with one and one only..NO, they need to be affiliated with Clickbank, and 10 other affiliate networks and then they ask me how come products don't sell. Focus on one and one only. Who experienced that in the past?
I prefer not to have all my eggs in one basket - although I make a decent income from Clickbank it's still only about half of my overall income.
I understand what you are trying to say. I agree that when you are starting out online and you are learning something whether it be Adwords, article marketing, CPA etc... it is a good idea to focus on ONE arean until you have it mastered, or at least start seeing some real success. However once you have got some success then learn another area of IM and diversify! It is a good idea to set up as many different revenue streams as possible online as if you have only one and it fails what then? Stay focused until you have perfected one area and then move on and perfect another one I say. In my experience though nothing is easy, it all takes time, you can get lucky but be prepared to keep going until you win!!! Chris
So what kind of money are you able to make doing this ?? I've been out of work for ages, and am unable to get back into real-world employment, so would like to think i could live off of the web ?? I know lots of people do make lots of money... but for the average Joe what are the possibilitites, if you are going from scratch ... and how long will it take ? I hope these qeustions aren't too ambiguous...as they will help me. thanks
I agree with you. Clickbank is big enough to take all of your valuable time. But you should still try out other ways to make money. Diversification is good.
I strongly agree with you ... Focusing on one and one only is the only way, for me. I do have other online income sources (a bit of writing and a bit of trading), but only one affiliate marketing income-source, and that's Clickbank. And in spite of all the problems and difficulties with Clickbank that I so often and so publicly criticise them for, and in spite of all the little things I think they need to change and the things they could do better, I'm very happy with it that way. I would never have got off the ground with it, if I'd diluted my efforts any further. I also agree with all the people who say there are loads of terrible products on Clickbank, but it doesn't matter to me: there are many good ones, too.
Anybody else experiencing a slowdown in sales lately? I've been getting a steady 60-70 hops per day with my affiliate account like usual but no sales for almost 2 weeks! I was getting a couple sales per week up until recently with the same numbers...
I love Alexa S! She's not just a woman who understands IM (we all know how difficult it is to explain to most women, and even when they do understand, they have about zero respect for it), but she's a woman who successfully IMs, too. Gotta love her!
When you are just starting you should stick with one thing for a while, if it doesn't work for you maybe than you should change the network, but before you change network you should give it a reasonable time and be sure that you are doing everything right. I started with clickbank but than, when clickbank banned all the p2p websites i started promoting p2p websites on Plimus. You dont need 10 networks to make reasonable amount of money you need only one, if you hit the target once you should try to scale it up. IMO proper scaling is the secret to big income.
to be honest what i think is, the more the merryer, more is better, you have have more choice for the user, more selection for the customer, more affiliate programs means more money and more selection
I agree with you, but iv noticed many people that are just starting out, get on so many networks and in the end they can not dedicate a decent amount of time on a single network, and after a month or two without success they just quite, and blame it on luck. While in reality they didn't even started to scratch the surface of what the network is offering them. But if you are already familiar with one network, its much easier to jump ships and have success at it.
You can make review of few products from the same niche and compare each other, or alternatively, you can review one product and find another product that would complement the first. For example if you are promoting Earth 4 Energy, you can compare it to 2 or 3 other products from the same niche and say which one you prefer more. Or if you are promoting Homebreware or product like that, you can also insert another product maybe some download center and say "after i enabled my wii to play backup games, i got membership here so i can download any game i want any time" etc. you get the idea.
I have seen many people who dream of making a living out of internet trying everything available out there and reach no where. If they could really focus on one thing, they could have become a real success at least in a beginners level. Thanks for your inspiring advice and keep posting M!!!
