My second web site is one month old today, built new from scratch I bought a domain name and I am writing original content often. But SEO have change so much and old things are not good anymore. How do you promote a new web site the right way? How long does it take? I would like to hear from your own experiences! Slow and steady wins the race buddy. Use social media to promote it and pinterest is the best option for now.
It still would help if you bought a few links in major directories... e.g. BOTW. Sometimes they give away coupon codes, then the discount comes in well. Otherwise me too: I'd recommend you social media. But with that, it's very hard gaining momentum. Depends on what type of site you have, what industry and whether you are planning to live out of advertisements or selling your own products. You could buy Facebook traffic to landing pages, where buyers could purchase products.
This is such a difficult question to answer. There are so many ways to promote a website and every person you ask will come up with different answers. In my opinion I think you should do the following: 1) - Concentrate on creating quality UNIQUE content for your site. Remember that content is king! The more quality content pages you have on your site the more pages you should have indexed in Google. 2) - Write a few UNIQUE quality articles EVERY DAY and submit to Ezine Articles. In the resource box write some kind of hook to get people to click a link within the resource box which will send them to your website 3) - Write a Ebook about your topic and submit this to sites where by others can download it for free. Within the Ebook you will have links which send the reader to your site. 4) - Create FREE accounts at places like Wordpress and Blogger online. Make two quality UNIQUE blog posts a day on each site, each with a link back to your site. The above are just a few things you can do on the start of your journey. Remember that traffic and rankings do not appear overnight. It is a slow process to build a website which has great traffic Hope this helps!
Thanks for all your answers, my site is about financial freedom and personal development which are the things I am interested myself. I've check on BOWT submission and it is expensive for now but I can try the other suggestions like writing for Ezine. I've already signed up for Technorati and submitted. If you know good directory submission sites it will be a help. Thank you
