I've had this site forever, it was home to my fairly large web template business when I was a kid, then I basically parked it with what it is now and recently placed ads. I'm starting to get some trafic as I get back into the business, and I'm wondering if I add a blog to it and change it completely to my personal site, would that be pretty valuable to me, or better as something else? It's been around since 2003 and has a couple backlinks still... pretty boring otherwise, about 10-20 uniques/day and 1 cent from ads/day nothing so far from affiliates.
Blogs definately add value and weight to your website providing that you write content that is valueable. if i wrote a blog saying "today i got up and brushed my teeth", then nobody would care. if it was a blog about "how to make $1000 a day using adsense and white hat seo", then this would be profitable.
Thanks for the reply. I plan to blog on my own site, just http://blog.solutionx.us about mobile windows .net and .mobi web app development... As I go along and do it. I also have a network of related sites and .mobi versions. Have all the domains, just haven't gotten the sites or software finished, or barely started yet. I think anyone interested in mobile development on either sides of the connection will get something from the blog, because i've been talking with some really motivated people and many new ideas floating around. :osted on Windows Mobile 5.0. through my wifi network btw Nice auto complete/suggest built in for typing.
