@matthieuim: If high hopes and unrealistic dreams could fetch a high price in the market in 2010, you would definitely meet your goal. Otherwise, I'm not so sure. You do realize that your goal would require upwards of ten thousand sales for the year? And you admittedly have made just ONE sale so far? @dlm: well played, man/miss/whatever. I almost feel like rushing out to buy a hat so I'll propose eating it, if OP even gets as far as 1/10 of his ludicrous objective. edit: I just noticed the other thread where matthieuim explains how he made his first sale after spending $4 on adsense, with a ROI of about 8x. Since in this thread he claims to have the "assets" to materialize $400k, i just realized he must have about $50k available to materialize his goal. Even if that's the case, I still think it's highly unlikely he will succeed. Anyone care to explain him just why?
Got to totally agree with this!! But by all means go out and prove us totally wrong!!! And I hope you do!!
I agree with you. Truth is always bitter. But one never knows what's going to happen in future. Good luck for your goal!
well, its a huge target, that's for sure. I think meeting January targets would be totally possible but come March or April, you might find it a little more difficult. But anyhow, good luck in all you're doing and I'll be sure to keep tabs on your progress.
I wish you best of luck with that kind of goal To be honest... I never reach the goals I set but that's the whole point. I always set goals that are a little too crazy... but it makes you work smarter and harder. Imagine yourself on December 31st 2010: "Oh snaps... I didn't reach $400k, I only made $300k... " LOL Still would be great
Before careful...don't end up saying.... "Oh no, December 31st 2010 is here...I lost $400,00 all together!"
I have the secret to making $400,000 on internet marketing...... The secret is starting with $1,000,000 in the bank..... shhhh don't tell anyone But all kidding aside.. good luck
It is good that you're optimistic but I'll have to agree with everyone else that 400k for your first goal is quite high. I'm not saying you can't do it but why not try to set smaller goals to start with and work your way up? There are people that have been doing this for years and haven't hit a 400k year yet. Good luck though.
You've made one sale till starting this thread... and you want to get 400k by the end of the year... I don't want to discourage you but I think this isn't possible. However, best of luck I will follow your journal.
This looks like something you'd find on a product's affiliates page. "Sell my product now and you could earn up to $2,222.27 per day!!!!" Personally, I'm not a goal setter and I do very well. I always strive to make more each month than the previous month. But if you do set goals, I think it should be attainable and realistic. If it were really as easy as you are implying, you'd probably be making a lot more right now. I don't know what resources you have, but in order to reach your goal, I suspect you would need: - huge websites with heavy traffic and thousands of pages of content (which take a great deal of time to build up and rank well in SERPs) or - an aweber account with hundreds of thousands of addresses (which also takes a lot of time) or - the ability to write several thousand of articles and post them (and there are only 24 hours in a day, right... and you do need to sleep) or - a massive adwords budget (which would take away from your profits) I don't mean to burst your bubble... I just think your goal is a little high to be taken seriously. And I do wish you success with your marketing.
OK, thank your all for your input, I have decided to lower my goal to a more reasonable amount. My goal now is to make $80,000 before the end of this year. You can track my progress at goal80k.blogspot.com
Sounds like a much more reachable goal to me. The good thing about setting realistic goals is that if you meet them you feel more accomplished (as long as it was a challenge). However if you say you want to make 400k and only make 80, you would have felt like you failed. At least that's how I look at it. But now if you make the 80k, you succeeded.
Good luck and keep us posted. My goal is a steady $100+ a day by the end of the year... no more of this $300 one day and $2.00 the next!
Mtn - Money's money... take it however it comes. To get consistency, you need to sell lots of products each day. I sell many products per day, but each product has a lower payout than most clickbank affiliates are used to (5-10 bucks). As a result I generally make a steady, predictable income. Same is true for adsense - the more clicks you have, the steadier and more predictable the income is. I can usually predict my adsense income within a couple of dollars every day now.
