I went from a 2 column to a 3 column design. Also I changed some things around including colors, ad placement, and gadgets. I also added a navigation bar. Please tell me what you think. Is the design and layout attractive and user friendly?
its a nice site... nothing special - one this i would say is that the header (image) is far too big i have a 17" screen and the main content of the site doesnt start until 1" from the bottom of my screen. a bit bland thought
I tend to steer away from the tables look, I would tone down the borders (maybe limit it to the left and right column?)... Also the amount of time it takes to load would be a big issue to me, there is so much information on that single page it takes forever to load on my side. Lastly is the colors, well the background color... I would try to throw more color into the mix, not only for looks, but it can help break up content as well. I'm not telling you your site is bad or anything, but it needs some easy tweaks, nothing more in my eyes.
Like the person above, the site takes forever to download on my computer (and I have a fast connection). If I were you, I'd maybe try to condense the page titles so that they aren't over 2 lines (on the left). It would make your site appear more neat and easy to navigate. The pictures are gorgeous - great quality. More color would make it more interesting - maybe like a darker version of the yellow in the header - like a cinnamon brown type color surrounding the house to match some of the bushes? It would give some contrast. Great site though!
