Thought I might as well get a review for my newest website
    http://www.tripsafety.net

I am looking for improvements on SEO and ad placement/colors, etc...plus anything else you may have in mind.

    Thanks! :)

I have allergic tendancies to Adsense. Especially when it's placed smack bang in the middle of a website.

It's okay, obviously better than I could ever make..But i'm not to sure on the bottom half of the website.

The bit where it says; 'Information' & 'Our Most Recent Articles'

It's really bland, white, and to be fair - boring.

There is also MORE adsense at the side of that aswell.

TBH I have no experience or knowledge on this. I'm just giving you my amateur opinion.

I think it would probably be better if you made the banner picture SMALLER, and then used a few other images on the page. Just one big one is too overpowering, if ya get me.

Maybe you could make a pretty banner 'TRIP SAFETY' in the top centre of the page, so people know exactly what your site is called/is about.

Or you could make the website page wider, so as not to have the dull grayness at the side thus also creating more room for info & images and eye catching qualities you need to bring if you want visitors to visit your site.

On the home page "safetly" :)

"This site contains many articles on a variety of subjects all pertaining to Travel Safety"

Thats very general and non-specific. How about something more direct like

    Traffic safety articles for ...

The thing that stuck out at me is the positioning of the text in the grey area. It runs all the way to the edge of the background area. I would pull it in 5 or 10 pixels. It just doesn't look right to me that way.

Although I can't see your ADs because my browser does a nifty job of blocking them, the non-AD parts of the site look great. Mellow colour scheme and compact layout.

However, from the little I read about making websites: the title would probably do you more good if it was written out, and not a graphic. Speaking of which, the main site graphic is also a bit big and not related to travel.

But the biggest problem with your site is the poorly written articles. Seems like English isn't yout first language, because there are quite a few errors and an overall stiff style. You might look into having the articles re-written or polished.

    Crouton out.

i think you should optimize the image to a smaller size. it takes some time to load in dialup connections.

This is a very good site for the paranoid, I've never worried about bus travel until I checked this site out.

Got an idea for you, how bout removing the "plain jane" standard adsense ad in the middle and putting a horizontal 4 link adsense bar right below the "popular categories" bar. Match the colors up and you've got a nicely integrated ad.
