Hi there, I set up this site about a week ago, its based on Drupal and I want to know what you think and what I could do to make it more popular, its an article site but no one is adding articles. Any tips would be great.

    The site is http://help-developer.com

    Cheers!

    good luck !!!
    I like it
try to write more and regularly and include it in search engines and site so you can get visitors and writers

    just an advise
once you decide on template dont ever change it
    people get used to it

    wish you all the best

    Three issues.

    1. The right side bar is a little too big
    2. The middle portion (main content area) is almost empty, site looks, sorta, naked.
    3. The site is bland and dated. Change the colors. Add some blue.

Starting a new site is always a pain so in the past I have done incentives for people to post articles/reviews/news etc..

E.g. Go to different forums you are part of and "maybe" suggest - post your articles to my site and get the chance to win $X etc.. every month as for every article you post you will do a draw at the end of the month. ICheap way to build some good content, generally

Allow people to include links to there sites at the end of the articles.

Possibility of $$ and links generally works for most webmasters :D greedy greedy bastards the lot of us!

OK, I have just spent a few hours changing it to an article directory so that people don't have to submit their own articles and if they want, they don't have to do any work cause they can just give us the URLs and we'll do it for them, you cant say fairer than that. I have also added a bit of blue in the header, I will probably do some more changes to the design but Ive been spending my time on emailing article writers, so I'll redesign it later.
btw, if you have any articles you would like to submit, visit this thread for more details: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=373368

Any comments on the new idea?
