The site could certainly benefit from some additional SEO work, maybe it was just the page I checked, but there were no keywords at all. The site's design overall is simply too ...simple -people expect more from a site, especially if they are going to trust enough to buy something from it. you may have some luck using a a prebuilt system if you can't afford to have a site designed for you -look into things like Joomla and CMS Made Simple, these programs have templates available that you can simply plug in and use. There will be a bit to learn with installing it all, but if you managed to build this, you should be able to fumble through a CMS install.
It looks better now, but there is still white in the scarf fringe and also inside her arm (between her arm and body) Much better though =)
Thats old 90' style.I think you should : 1) Add more picture in frontpage OR 2) Use new styles (web 2.0).You can download many FREE templates from here http://klcj.net/page/view/css
Hi, The writing under in the header area is a bit blury, you should change this to make it clearer. I think the overall site is not very eye catching so you should make the design stand out more. Start by picking a color scheme using adobe kuler After you pick a good color sceme you should definatley change the menu area so that it looks more appealing try using web 2.0 standards Hope this helps
I am not a professional web designer. Its just my hobby. Web designing is an art. How it can be improved? I always find something lacking in my website when i look at others website. Their work looks professional.
So many people ask the same question. One thing I always do with my sites is have the content on a white (or close to white) background with the other colour as the background. Notice that many sites (Live.com, Ask.com, even vBull) have a background and then a white background inside it (even though vBull has the posts in a different colour...) This way it is easy to read and most of the time looks easy to read. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Best of luck with your site! onehundredandtwo.
The menu sticks out too much (the colour). i would change it so it goes with the colour scheme. The webiste is pushed over to the left, center it, it will look much better. Don't have the main text in italics and definetley get rid of the scrolling box at the bottom, it looks out of place and awful and not good for SEO purposes. HOWEVER, I like the header, the header is well designed, apart from it needs to go right across the width of the page to promote consistency.
@wobmop Headers ? The < h2 > headers ? @all Hey! I have changed the scroll text and the content from italics to normal.
Hey! I just checked the website in IE. The color of lady cutout background and other image heading(i.e. catalog, contact us) is bit different from Firefox. What the hell!!!!!!
The first thing I saw was the cut out of the woman but it appears that other people are fixing that problem for you. Also I really enjoy seeing alot of gradients in websites. I believe it looks more professional. I would recommend that you put a little gradient to your backround and header. There is also to much wide open blank spaces. It really isn't needed. Other than those small flaws I believe its a nice simple site. It serves its purpose well.
You have to fix the cut out woman or the entire website is going to look like trash IMO, but other than that it looks good.
The women cutout need serious work, really bad, need shadow. Too many spacing and box below could be higher. The whole page could have present without scolling down.
Thanks for the suggestions. But I wonder why the lady cut-out background color looks bit different in IE from Firefox. ?
This is because IE renders things differently than FireFox as it has a different box model. However, I have looked at your page in both IE 7 and IE 6 as well as FireFox and this image looks exactly the same in all three of them. Might be something at your end?
The image looks same but there is a difference in the background color of the image. Ok i will also post the screen-shot.
Hi you have used tables and inline styling bad for accessibility and SEO. Use CSS style sheets and divs. I would use an list for the menu. It might be worth your while to read this: http://sitebusinesszone.com/site-design-for-accessibilty
