My new game blog , review would be nice :)

hey ,

I started my new blog about games some days ago and would like to know what you guys think about it ? For now i think it goes well. One of my articles is actually having 40 visitors per day from stumbleupon for the last 3 days, and a total of 60. good or not ? ;P

IMO:
i think its to crowded... the categories items in one line will be better

 

I think you need a logo bigtime, and yep a little bit crowded

 

I don't want a logo since that makes my visitors have to scroll down and 90% of the people that see a new website don't scroll down on new websites they visit.

Also i have a problem with my sidebar. When i want to count how many post i have in my categories then the category menu uses 2 lines, but when i don't uses it as you can see on my blog now it only uses 1 line. I think it is a template problem.

it is something to do with the class="arrow"> part but when i remove it does make the category 1 line but one oft he category names ends up in the middle of the template. Anyone knows something i can do here ?

which color do you or anyone else think will fit better ? I like black but offcourse what the visitors thinks is the best .

 

you light colours ,blue,gray,green,pink etc..

 

I think that you should change this yellow colour for white.. :|

 

The blue colour in the site is very bright and spoils readability. The words in black colour font are invisible, so the site requires different set of colour combination.

 

I don't like this black background. Also change links color.

Yes i agree that the black background was not good. I changed the theme now and i really like how the blog looks like now. More organized and with a white background. It does not look like a game related blog but i beleive that the content for a blog is more important then the design so i will stick this this theme. I hope the blog will earn me some money and if it does i will buy a good theme for it.

And i love writing about games so at least i found a niche i like writing in. I tried many of them now and all those blogs sucks hehe.

Your site is a bit messy. Try to make it clean. use a bit less ads.

I do respect you guys opinion but i don't agree, i like how the blog looks like right now and after i changed from the last theme i had im seeing visitors staying on my site much longer.

If no one had known about http://www.problogger.net/ you would have said that this blog is kinda messy too , still he got 45000 subscribers ;P And his blog is kinda messy. Still the best blog on the web though imo.

 

I agree with the 2 vs. 3 columns...but if you like the way it is then that's the way you should keep it! I think the content is well thought out - and that's important so keep it up!
