My new domain and forum - How to get started? Reviews & Suggestions please

Hello everyone,

I bought this domain name and installed a forum in it - World Cup 2007

Now the problem is how to get started with the homepage and the forums.

Any suggestions?

Will adding News feeds on homepage help me or shall i move the forum directly to the homepage only?

I think you should use some portal type script which is compatible with phpbb and can be installed on main page and can fetch the forums data on main page like New Posts etc

Yep, exactly.It looks proffesional then.

 

I was thinking also, perhaps add a AJAX shout-out box along the side, too. Maybe even polls for letting people vote on who will make it into the World Cup, etc... lots of interactivity could help. Maybe even an area to upload fan pictures and things like that?
