My New Blog

I'm sort of new to blogging. I usually make websites from scratch and haven't done any blogs of yet.

So, this is my first one. It's a sort of general internet discussion / news / advice blog. Just made first two posts. Will be posting daily!
Still need to design my head banner.

Future posts will include SEO advice, Adsense tips etc

Good blog, good story. Try centering the images with <center> </center> tags. It helps it look better like this.

Great blog i would rate it 7/10

 

looks pretty good to me. though i would either darken the border around the subscription box or get rid of it completely. you can barely notice it as it is and then if you do it just looks funny.

 

Nice clean looking blog.. Keep the juicy content coming and you're in business.. keep up the good work..

 

Good and clean blog. I would suggest that you offer something in return for signing up to your blog. Create a free report of some sort. I'm sure that increase the singup rate once you start seeing some decent traffic to the blog.

I'd make the links a little darker and align your smaller images with the text.

 

I like your design overall! I do agree that the RSS subscription button should line up a little better or make it stand out more. You want people to click it and subscribe.

I like the simple design - makes it easy to read. It did take me a few minutes to work out what the site was actually about as I missed the line at the top so a header would be good eventually.
If you're going to be posting everyday maybe mix in some longer posts that are more like articles or run a series of posts to get people coming back for me.

Detail: Personally I found your website quite mundane and boring to say the least. You need some vibrant content/moving images to improve your stats. The design is nice but not eye catching.

 

liss001 ok well thank you for your opinion but I disagree.

I run alot of colourful well visited websites.

But for a blog like this it's all about the posts. It's advice and discussion and I think in this circle of blogs a design like this is perfectly aesthetically pleasing enough.

You don't need tacky moving images and lots of vibrancy to drag in traffic, to me that suggest a desperation.

With this and anything, content is king.

 

Very good! Your header seems a bit bare with only that home link, how about adding an about link etc?

Also add a footer. Other than that well done!
