A bit of background info: “Article Brokering†took me about a month to compile and fully finish. I started drafting ideas in February 2010, modeling a business concept that I’ve put in practice over the previous year or so. After countless revisions and proofreads, I finally felt like I had a solid guide that will benefit the IM community. I launched the main www.articlebrokering.com page on March 10th when I finally finished writing the 41 pages of straight-to-the-point content. Then I went on to tweaking the sales copy here and there, and making sure it’s FTC and merchant compliant. I was finally approved by Clickbank on March 23rd. Now I’m actively looking for affiliates to help me drive traffic to my product, hoping to move it up the Clickbank chain of popular guides! What does this mean to you? This means 2010 will be one exciting ride! “Article Brokering†is my new Clickbank product. It’s unique, and here’s why you should start promoting it right away: 1) Fresh Sales Copy – My Partners And I Are Projecting A 3% Conversion Rate! You might want to anonymise that screenshot: names, email addresses, PayPal transaction IDs etc! Oh, and your sample earning report doesn't add up. The client spends 45, you earn 45 and your supplier earns 15. That's a total of 45 spent and 60 earned.
TP, thanks, I was going to do that, but I just hid the emails, names, etc. I fixed the table, I missed the $15 spent and had -- instead. I'm looking for affiliates, <s>thanks for your quality feedback PMW </s> Best Regards, vip-ip.
In all honesty it's a bit of a stretch to ask for $97 a copy for an ebook that just tells you how to grab a cheap article writer and sell article writing services and push the work through them. This book MIGHT be worth $27 to someone who doesn't know where to outsource to or how to exploit newbie marketers on the DP forums. But to any serious marketer this isn't worth much at all. This looks like it would sell well to people who are looking to make some extra money on the side and don't know how. If that's the customer base you're aiming for, I'd say you're doing a decent job with the exception of the price point. The one thing I like, which I thought was pretty unique to a sales page, was that you showed a couple bills you paid off with the money you made with it. THAT is a good pre-sell, again, if you're aiming at newbie marketers who are just looking to make a little pocket cash each month. $800 a month isn't a living wage, but it does help pay a bill or two as you've shown. I don't much like the paper-style sales page as it looks cheap but I get that you're referencing writing with it. Personally, I'd change the sales page style a bit and bring down the price for sure. Other than that, good luck with it.
Actually brada7 makes a good point. You've kind of given away the farm with the sales copy... by explaining how you made the money, you've taken away a lot of the value of the content of the book. After they've read your sales page, they can do a quick Google search for outsourcing and get straight to work. You've got to make it clear in the copy that they're missing a piece of the puzzle, and they absolutely must have your book in order to succeed with outsourcing (ie what can go badly wrong if they try it without being properly prepared). Anyway, best of luck with it.
TP and Brada7, thanks for the pointers. I certainly do give away a bit of the idea behind my concept, but that's because I wouldn't feel good about selling a book about how to outsource work. Because then it would be another one of those rehashed "revolutionary" books about "driving tons of traffic" that says "you gotta get a lot of inbound links, man!" I will be doing some work over the weekend with the sales copy for sure.
Sold some copies via DP (got leads via personal messaging), had one sale via ClickBank already. Sales copy has been edited, currently looking to enlist affiliates! Please get in touch with me if you're interested. Best Regards, vip-ip.
I love the idea of putting your mechanic's receipts as proof of earnings. I should have saved the receipts from my last trip to Home Depot
I like the idea of giving away free domains for affiliates. It's new to me. Will you let the people who get the domains also use your salescopy including the images?
If you spend $900 at home depot - sure, why not Although I understand your [unnecessary] criticism, I did pay those 2 bills off using my Article Brokering method. Just because those were my two major emergency spending doesn't discredit the guide itself. Best Regards, vip-ip.
