My new adwords -> Clickbank campaign is working

This month has been great. I got my first check from Clickbank in the post and I started a new Adwords campaign to a new website this week.

So far I have spent approximately $40 on clicks (some of which were wasted, but those keywords are now paused!)

These have brought me my best day ever on Clickbank with $80 of sales! I can handle that sort of ROI.

Chuffed to bits, lets hope this continues and the checks come in and get authorised by my bank and I am not out of profit for too long!

Just wanted to let those out there that are trying to make this work that it can work, maybe not first time but after a bit of tweaking you can see results.

Sounds good I have dabbled in PPC but I guess I do not have enough knowledge yet to get good
Conversions. I think I need to work on my landing pages aswell..

    Anyways Congrats!

i know that feeling!!! Keep workiing on it..monitor your AW account....get interesting products, find keywords. Its actually SCARY how easy it is.
Let's say you keep making 2x or 3x or maybe even more in ROI from what you put into Adwords: Profit!
From there it only goes up...the more profit, the more you can spend on ads....also, buy banners here on the forum from webmasters....and also use all options in AdWords like placement targeting and banners/images.

    Update:

To date spent approx $60 on clicks and clickbank sales total $137.

The pace has slowed, but I have cut out some of the poor keywords. this gives less clicks, but seem to be better converting at the ROI has increased from 100% to 128%.

The thing I cannot tell is if any traffic from other sources is giving me sales or if they just come from Adwords.

I am going to let this run for a bit. How do I increase clicks without spending a lot more per click? I am going to try to improve the ad text for a start.

Your ROI is good. If your quality score is already good I'd leave it and start a campaign for a new product / niche. If your quality score isn't the best then improve that.

    track track track.

buy some conversion tracking software like xtreme conversions or keyword radar or something with your money. they'll tell you the EXACT keyword that converted (by that i mean what the searcher typed in that converted to sale, now that's pretty darn powerful). this will save you a LOT more money in the long run.

and.. i've got a different viewpoint than haxor though. squeeze more money from that niche. you already know it converted. add more keywords!!! :D

    to bl4ckman..

you need to understand the target market, why are they buying, then think of the keywords that they will use when THEY ARE READY TO BUY WITH THEIR CREDIT CARDS ALREADY IN THEIR HANDS.. Think of the keywords that are at the end of the buying cycle and the super-desperate keywords.. "recurring" "get rid of" etc etc.

use landers.. and Pre-sell the heck out of 'em.

    Thanks zul200289

I think the most difficult bit, is to find out the necessary keywords, that convert, and basically half of the work will be done.

After just put them into separate ad groups and write killer ads.

The most important thing for me this time around is the landing page with the pre-sell.

    This is so important.

Are you directing traffic to your own LP? or direct to the merchant LP?

I think my previous post answers this one, it have been the most important change for me to have a decent landing page.

    As an Update:

I have had hardly any impressions or clicks in the last 24 hours, maybe my niche is sporadic? Will be interesting to see if it picks up over the weekend.

I have also started some split testing with a different advert and the same keywords. I have also picked out some low cost click keywords and started a separate ad group with a specific targeted ad and keywords.

Will let you know how this goes.

In case anyone is interested today has been my best day ever on Clickbank with $85 of sales.

The last week has been very quiet on the impressions/clicks so I made a few changes yesterday!

In the last two days almost all of the clicks have come from content network which have a lower CPC. So the $85 came from $25 spent on clicks over the last two days!

The overall progress is as follows: Between 1st Jan 2008 and 15th Jan 2008

    Cost of clicks $100

    Total Sales $220

I want consistency now. $85 per day from $25 in clicks would be a dream!

    Ciao for now.

Excellent job, maybe you can start scale up if you are able to get consistent ROI. What kind of products are you promote?

    Quick update

Progress has been irregular because low clicks has led to low sales.

I have adjusted a few things and still making a good profit:

    Cost of Clicks $170

    Total Sales $331

One of the things I have noticed is that I have not made a single sale at on a weekend. I wonder if this is common for everyone? I think I will stop running the ad campaigns over the weekend which will help with profit margin.

I would like to hear how anyone else is doing this New Year.
