http://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/aussie-pythons.com I just checked my domains, there is always three or four places that the nameservers haven't propagated to. Even after a month it still doesn't fully do it. So my sites don't work in some countries. What's wrong with it?
Very bizarre! I noticed that the domain you show as the example is only a few days old, but if you are noticing this with other domains I think you have cause for concern. Usually, I would say the registrar's DNS services are flawed, but I have never had issues with GoDaddy DNS in the past. My solution recommendation would be to use a third party DNS service. I have used all of DNSStuff, DNS.com and OpenDNS with no issues at all. Worth a shot, IMHO. Best of luck!
Yeah it happens to all my domains, the oldest at the moment was registered about a month ago, and I haven't changed the nameservers since registration. Godaddy seem to think it's a problem with my hosting's nameservers. How to the third party DNS services work? Thanks!
My basic understanding is that they already have a global network of DNS servers that, in turn, distribute any of your DNS changes to the rest of the major DNS servers out there. These services also make it really easy to manage things like CNAME, mail records and more. This allows for a much more rapid "push" of DNS updates. Rarely do you have to deal with the "it may take a couple of days for your changes to take effect". These services also usually offer a free version, but the paid versions are generally quite inexpensive. I wish I could explain it a little better, but it's something that I find "just works".
