Or you could use webmessenger.msn These kinds of viruses all started on Y!M, and now they're dominating MSN. I'm also pretty sure that your "trusted contact" was also infected.
I got a few on those on my other laptop, I had to get it fixed and get all programs removed and re-installed to solve the problem. There are a series of those messages such as, "is this you in that picture" "Hey check this party out" - And it continues on.
hey man .. its one of the viruses which had infected my comp.. a little different .. the link came to me from my friend in spanish language and as soon as i click !.. my comp was in a mess !
Hey Mary, Seems fine, I think those offline folks are safe. No offline messages and such. Probably just affected those online contacts.
Thanks for all the support guys, I realize my trusted contact had no idea either. I'm also glad to know that there were no offline messages, thanks t00t for letting me know. I just got word that I sent it to one of my contacts 9 times before it stopped yesterday. I can still see some of the messages too, they are tricky little links that could easily fool anyone who has never dealt with this before . Another one of my contacts reports she can't even open up a browser to DL anything to fix it so I'm going to try and send her the tool I used through her msn box because she can get it open, I just hope it doesn't come back at me again.
Which is the best antivirus for protection against trojan ?? I got a message confirming it. right now I am donwloading AVG free version. Is it good enough for trojan ??
http://www.noadware.net/. This is what I used as suggested by YFCadmin. Anyone have any suggestions as to how someone who cant open her browsers to DL anything or accept files through her messenger can get a tool to clean her up?
This looks like a really generic site. There are a lot of programs that look like legit antiviruses but are spyware themselves.
