My Moneybookers Account is Locked

    Some days ago I found that my moneybookers account is locked. While making an transaction I found that my moneybookers account is locked. I found that they are requesting some information from me.

    Today I send moneybookers a scanned copy of my National ID card. In reply they informed me that my moneybookers account will remain closed because their audit team suspects that I have misused their service. Very soon I am going to send them a copy of my utility bill as a proof of address. But don't know what they will reply.

    What should I do now? I never assumed that this kind of problem would arise. If I again receive negative reply from moneybookers team what should I do then. Any quick suggestion would be helpful.

    I think you are helpless now as MoneyBooker Guys are not so supportive as PayPal so I don't think they will unlock your account in anyway.

    From what you are writing here, you are saying that Moneybookers suspects that you misused their service. Basically, I would think the issue of why your account got locked is not so much your National ID card but rather the transactions you have been involved in. Such as what kind of payments you made and what type you receive ?

    Thank you very much for your replies. I don't know why they suspect my transaction because I rarely used moneybookers and used it for small transactions. I paid server fees to my web host, provided little graphics design help to my friends websites and they paid a little. I don't think anything suspicious I have done.

    They informed me just today that they suspect that I have misused their service. They never said it before. Their replies are like robot or sending same reply to others also not an identical one. I just send what they wanted; thats all. Looking to here from you friends.

    just submit your docs and if you can call them it would be better , you will get your account restored in 2 weeks
    my account was also locked once it took 36 days for them to restore my account as i did not called them

    I personally think they have locked the account because of failed login attempts.

    The best option to do is make a call to them. You should explain all step by step because they have all monitorized and if you lie your account will be suspended forever eventually

    Thank you friends for your replies. Now my Moneybookers accounts is closed totally. I called them asking why they have closed my accounts they just replied they have "reasonable grounds" to "close my moneybookers account". I asked explanation from them to show me at least one reason why they have closed my account. But they never replied. I had 50$ in my moneybookers account and they robbed the amount saying their repair charge of my account.

    I should also inform all the DP members that I have found same thing happened with some other people. After contacting them I have found one thing common among us.

    1) We are all from Asian Continent.
    2) We have balance less than or equal to 50$.
    3) We all received the same message after locking our account and same message again stating why our account get closed. Their replies were like robots.

    I maintained every formality with moneybookers (address verified,credit card verified, bank account verified, provided scanned copy of National ID card) and I can say that not a single of my transactions were illegal or made with fraudulent persons. I am very sad to say that moneybookers behaved like unprofessional to me.

    So beware or moneybookers!!!!!!!!!!!

    Well, I think that your account was involved in a fraud complaint from other user, I explain: Maybe you send or receive money from another account holder who made fraud there. And moneybookers closed the accounts of the users who send/receive money from that fraudster. remember that hyip are not welcome in moneybookers

    My moneybookers account was not involved in any fraud complaint from other user. And I am totally sure that with whom I made transaction are verified also and not involved in any fraudulent complaint.

    I used to prefer moneybookers as it is safer than paypal. You can easily get verified in paypal using a VCC but for moneybookers it is not possible.

    I have a question to the thread readers. Why should I provide all the address verfication document,credit card verification, bank account, scanned copy of National ID card to moneybookers?

    My answer to the question is if I had intention to may fraud with people I would have never provided any kind of document using which I can easily be tracked down. But I am really thundered when my moneybookers account got closed and I received amateurish reply form the moneybookers support team.

    did u use any proxy while logging in your moneybookers acc ?
    what are the transaction details ?
    did u break any of their rules ?

    i understand your situation.....
    i am thankful to god that MB atleast gave me a chance to explain my case to them when my account was limited. i also had to give them several documents and lot of explanation and stuff.. but finally they unlocked my account.......

    But 1 thing i must admit is that Moneybookers is not Customer Friendly and their Customer Support is worse than 3rd class ! True it helps ppl avaoid chargebacks which paypal doesnt.. but Moneybookers has its demerits which cud b clearly seen in the case mentioned in the thread ....

    I called them up twice, but each time I got the reply " No operators are currently available "

    I also sent them the scanned copy of my Voter ID . They replied me back that Voter ID is not acceptable.
    What the heck ? :( The voter id has my address and photo and my dad's name on it. It has the seal of a Government Authority on it. It has a hologram of the Indian Government . Why the heck is it not acceptable ?


    Moneybookers are scammers
    If they really want to verify my identity, can't they verify it when I withdraw to my bank account ?

    I from Asian continent too,but I have no problem with them.

    I have few hundred bucks there without any problems.

    Their customer service reply on my emails are quite friendly and helpful,personally I prefer moneybookers than any other merchant.

    I didn't say that your account was involved by a fraud complaint. I mean that your account was involved with another account who made fraud there. So moneybookers suspended or locked all accounts who were involved with the fraud account. Since a year ago, e-gold have got the same procedures..
    Think about it:

    XXX69 account holder sell lot of stuff of porn and hardcore content or services. He/she sold to arround 50 users this type of material. She/He also is a programmer and make a couple of works every month and you hired him/her.
    Well, moneybookers receive a complaint about that user...and they know that he sold a lot of porn material...they will suspend all accounts who were invloved with him/her, your account were involved (with other type of matters, but involved)... Internet is a giant and they can't support everything...It's the innocent who always pay for the sins of the sinners."
    I suggest you that you should send everything and talk with them about it, explain you case, give links, emails...

    MB's Support is not as strong as PayPal, But still try, They might remove, I use only PayPal
