I am very suprised there was even a cash bail set in such a case. As I have seen many other people get arrested for much more serious offenses and most of the time they are released on PR (Personal Recognizance). I would hate to see what they would do to someone who shoplifts in your town. Just doesn't add up to me...
We were told that the cops wrote in their police report, that my mom confessed to them. I was so shake to hear that, I can't believe the cops wrote that a lie. My mom never said anything to them. But anyway, after the fake confession police report, and the person whose car was scarch claims they saw it, the case was dismiss.
wow, i just stumbled accross this thread. sounds like a pretty messed up situation. is it just me or does a $23K bail seem a little high for some vandalism? I've known people who've been caught with 20lbs of weed and got a lower bail than that. It just seems really strange to me that a petty crime like keying a car would hold such severe consequences. My advice is: find the best lawyer in town, don't ever go with a public pretender
Man does it not biols your blood. If I were in your place then I would have smashed the neighbours legs with a hockey in front of the cops and would sit in jail for some time. But for mom everything is sacrificed. Even my freedom. If your neighbours think they are stinking bad then be worst then them. Do things that they will never like and then they will understand that you are not to mess with. Things like this happened to me personally. And I showed some people living around me what kind of mess I can create for them. And now they don;t bother me anymore.
Any US citizen can effect a citizens arrest for a felony.. not a misdomenor. Browstown is correct ... But to get the Police to back it up is a different story!
we belive our neighbor was the friends of those cops, thats why the cops wrote the fake police report about the confession.
my mistake, i didn't see that before i posted. congratulations on the dismissal are you going to persue a civil suit against the person who filed the complaint?
