    Hello DigitalPoint!

My name is Henry, I'm 14 years old, and I've been an internet marketer since I was 12. It all started with a site I made when I was 13, and it consisted of an eBook that I typed myself, that I was giving away to people who registered with my sponsor (in that case, a health insurance company), and I would get paid for the leads I provided.

I advertised my site with a youtube video that I posted, which made google and got over a thousand views the first night. That's not all, but I also made $80 in my first 24 hours! That's pretty good compared to my 10$ allowance, by the way. Of course, around $20 of these leads were denied, but I still recieved a hefty check every month, normally around $300 (could of been A LOT more if I would have promoted the way I did when I opened the site).

I began to try some PPC, which didin't work to well, considering that Google denied me.

Forgot to mention I am into UFC, and Kimbo Slice is my favorite fighter.

I opened the site www.KimboSliceVideos.com , and it started pretty miserably. With a measly 50 something views a day, but still listed as number 4 in google. The reason I wasn't getting any traffic was because the search term I was marketing off of "Kimbo Slice Videos" wasn't very popular, as the fighter (Kimbo Slice) wasn't making it big.

Last saturday, however, Kimbo had a Pay-Per-View fight on showtime, and whooped this guys ass, winning him 500 grand and a huge amount of fame. At this moment, I am adveraging 11,000 views PER DAY, and have sold 5 adds in the past three days (they're less than a cent per click, check them out at www.KimboSliceVideos.com). The adds were so cheap because before my site wasn't generating a lot of traffic. Now that my search term is huge, my site is huge, and thus my add sales is huge.

And I owe you guys all of it, because before all of this, you guys gave me the advice that I needed to enhance my site with SEO, and picking key terms.

=D so heres my tip for the week: SEO is like stock. Invest when something isn't big and is easy to get on google, and then with a little time, the topic will become more popular, and you will end up making a fortune!

Congratulations. I've been working on the Internet since I was 13 (am now 18), and it's truly a pleasure to see your first website take off. You are doing good for your age, but don't limit yourself. Shoot for $X,XXX a month. Make a bunch of more sites in various niches. Don't put all your eggs in a single basket. Good luck!

    Thanks man! =D

I forgot to add contact info

    www.myspace.com/X2CxNxME

    www.henryhavoc.org (my blog)

I just added a pop-under add on my homepage, and the CPM is around $1.20, so maybe around $13 a day? This is going great for me. Here's the dramatic change in traffic:

You might want to consider signing up for the Yardbarker ad network for sports blogs. Not sure if they'd accept you, because they generally only do sports blogs, but it's worth trying since it's related to sports. They pay about $1.5-3, and the ads are less annoying than pop unders.

Congrats Henry! I have no idea about Kimbo Slice, but rock it! I bought your Gaia software just now. I'm a Gaian Geezer...I actually got the account to check on my kid. I know she'll love that I can get her all the gold she could ever want.

Nice job and thanks for the great tips and post. Rep +

Congrats on your success. I probably didn't even know what HTML was when I was your age, and I doubt CSS even existed in any formal sense at that time. I first heard about Kimbo Slice a few weeks ago, and I actually visited your site last week while looking for some videos of his fights. He's an interesting character and a tough fighter, although he'll have trouble in MMA without working on his kicking and wrestling. I could see him ending up doing a lot of 3-round boxing exhibitions, ala Butterbean (although I think he's better than Butterbean ever was).

I've been doing a lot of HTML since I was 12, and CSS isn't that hard for me either =D

Kimbo just had a fight last saturday against Tank Abbott, and he destroyed him. Video is on my site =D

Thankyou all for posting! This means a lot to me. 3 more ad sales today!

Who is Kimbo? If he lose his popularity one day, you will lose your money and traffic as well

Not really. If your website is only about one person (let's say "Britney Spears"), probably you're right. No one is chasing that keyword before Britney Spears became popular then your traffic would grow slightly when this person became popular. But what will happen in the future, that is something you will never know. Who knows maybe no one would be searching for Britney in Google in the next 1-2 years? For long term SEO, you should chase more general keywords, let's say like "celebrity gossip", etc. SEO is different with stock. Yes, it depends on what happen with people's behaviour on search engine but chasing a person's name keyword with your website's home page is not really worth it

    Low competition, targeted traffic...

Both types of keywords are good for different uses.

Thankyou very much ACT Media for you're comments and everyone else who has posted!

@ Wokaka: Kimbo is a MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter, who started out by posting videos of him fighting on the streets on websites such as youtube. He has a VERY big carreer ahead of him, and he has been offered many contracts by different companies (EliteXC, ProElite and CFFC just to name a few). On top of that, I have put less than $10 into this site, I am running it on free hosting, and the template I edited is a very simple design,so I didint have to pay for someone to make it for me.

Also, Mixed Martial Artists typically have anywhere from 15 - 80 fights in their carreer. Kimbo has had a total of 3, 1 of which was an exhibition match and is not on his record.
