My lottery site won't rank

    Hey guys any idea why my site www.wintheuklottery.com isn't ranking for UK National lottery syndicate or how to win the lottery? Optimised the pages, got loads of directory submissions, diggs, stumbles, forum posts. The domain is aged and the site has been established for over a year. There's tons of unique content.....nothing!

    Tyr finding some keywords with less sites listed to get more traffic. It takes time for all links to show up and help site. So keep working on geting more links

    If you know how to win the UK lottery why try to monitize a website?! :D

    Loads of directory submissions are really useless are you can probably tell. You need to build quality backlinks, not quanitity. The site(s) linking to you should be very relevant to yours, for example other lottery how to win websites. Try to use as anchor text the actual keyword or keyword phrase your trying to rank for on search engines.

    Probably because you are fighting in a competitive niche and will need to beat out all the other sites in terms of quality, content, and linking to make it to any decent position.

    how competitive tho? there are only 400k results for the keys im aiming for and the sites at the top have next to no content

    Your both keyphrase are not too competitive. First keyphraes "UK National lottery syndicate" has only 63100 results and it is very very simple to get top among these result by merely doing few seo tricks and you have already done much.

    Secondly your second keyphare is "how to win the lottery" which has 994000 results so we can say it is tough but not impossible by doing some more seo you can reach top for that also.

    As per my experience you should continue doing seo and try for some different keywords not keypharse so this may give you some idea.

    Finally do one more thing optimize the top 1 site in google for both the keypharse and then see what they have done. It may possible though the results are less but all those site had done too much of seo so this may the final reason for that.
