My links will not link

    I have over 15,000 post in the following website forum: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/bb_memberlist.php?sortby=posts&start=0
    When I use a backlink checker none of my links on the previous website forum appear show up. I have been checking for over a month. Does anyone know why the links on my post are not showing up?

    P.S. I did check the links on the above website forum, and the links show as 'dofollow'.

    How did you check you backlinks?

    You have to keep in mind that Google takes a lot of time to start showing backlinks (though you get credit for those links almost instantly) and Yahoo Explorer takes a little less time but still doesn't show all of your links.

    EDIT: P.S. What does your Google Analytics (or any other stats program) say? Do you get visits from those links?

    All of these links are from 2002-present? Wow.. Did you recently change your signature, or has it been the same the whole time? if you just updated it, you may wat to check your past posts to make sure that they all contain the link..

    I used http://www.iwebtool.com/backlink_checker . I started posting on the website forum in 2002. I have been checking the backlinks for about one month. I joined other websites lately and they do show up within a week. All the past post do contain the link. Each one is correct.

    I tried searching a couple other members of the above website forum thru a backlinker. No one's show up. It seems like it could be the website forum itself.

    It may be because all of your links in that forum are to
    http://www.detroitmichiganmagician.com//
    instead of
    http://www.detroitmichiganmagician.com/

    I don't know about this forum, but Sitepoint put up a notice to say that signature links were viewable if logged in but not visible to Google or people who were not logged in. In other words, they appeared dofollow but were useless for seo.

    I don't see any links in that forum. It might be just texts. Are you sure you are having clickable links.
