Im a newbie myself but i have been trying to do my fair share of link building and help share what i have learned with others along the way...Id like to share some of the tips i have.. I always here and always see people talking about Do Follow Blog to comments on to generate backlinks. Thats great and all and I in no way would go against that. However, i do not count out sites which are coded with No Follow. As we all know many larger sites will have No Follow due to the amount of spam which they have gotten. Just cause it may be a No Follow blog DOES NOT mean you cant take advantage of it IMO. Making legit comments and leaving your link will not get you any link juice, however it may bring you viewers which knew nothing about your site before then. These viewers may bookmark your site or become regular viewers. Some of those viewers are probably bloggers themselves as you would imagine. This can lead to bloggers finding content on your site to post about, which you will benefit from. To me any sort of link is a good link, Do Follow or No Follow. A link back to your site for viewers on the web is a + no matter if it doesnt give you some juice. Also, dont be scared to email webmaster asking them if they would like to make a post about your site and what you have to offer. Their are many people like myself who are usually always looking for something to share with our readers, something we think they would enjoy. Be straight up in your emails and dont beat around the bush. Tell the webmaster what your looking for, what your site offers and how you feel it would be a good find for them to share with their readers... Besides that...Google is your friend...Your bestfriend...Find out where your competitors are submitting links...However, when doing this channel out the blogs they get links from, just to cut the work load in half at first...Do a search in google to find out what directories the sites are submitted in..To do this just put in the name of your competitor and +directory...for example xxxxx.com+directory....just pull up their directory listings and get cracking on getting listed their as well... If these tips can help anybody then great, if not then im sorry i wasted your time...
I have one tip for newbies as I am a newbie myself. The most important thing to keep in mind about link building is to have back links from RELATED sites. I have experienced that the most rewarding place to get related links are from forums. There are always webmasters like us looking for link partners, all we have to do is find them and it is in forums where we usually converge. And the best forum there is for this strategy is right here at DP. Yep, I've been to several forums and it's here I got the most results.
Lol, I always seem to run into the thread starter, but if your just starting out with a new site and have $4...invest in ResellerGo.com
