I heard good things about Paul's and Angela's link so I created this whole complex outsourcing system where I got people to make these links based from the PDFs for me. I must admit that it did seem to work. I got ranked in around the #8 to #15 spots for some very competitive keywords. Unfortunately, I consider this tactic a failure because I could never reach the top 3 (which is where all the traffic on Google is). Even though I continue to make about 20-40 Paul's and Angela's links per day per keyword... I feel like I have hit a wall since the rankings are not getting better. I hope this advice serves as use to someone. If anyone has any ideas for what I can do or advice for me, I would appreciate hearing it, too. Thanks!
You are using only Paul's and Angela's way for link building ? I think to get good ranking you must have to do other quality link building also like article submission, forums posting, blog posting and commenting etc.. Because to get good position in SEs you must have to good number of links by quality way. Thanks
Look - profile links are usually not a great technique for backlinking - but if you want to do it - it can't hurt. Now to respond to directoryurlsubmission - I totally agree, he shouldn't just rely on Paul and Angela's backlinks. you have to diversify you backlinking techniques to make them work. Also - I would spend more time on on-page optimization - even if it means adding more pages to your site (that is optimized of course).
There are quite a few problems with these sorts of links: 1) The page your link is on will be PR0 2) It might not even get indexed 3) Low-quality links It's much better to use techniques such as article submissions or even better, blog commenting.
to get ranked for competitive terms, you should utilize wide range of link building methods. specially if you are running into a wall and not getting any higher ranking, its about time you try some other methods.
We should get backlinks through various way. You can use Web2.0 properties and article submission for some authority and more backlinks. Ranking also depends on many factors. It is very difficult to overtake a old page in high PR site even though it has less backlinks than a new website.
How much time has passed since you have been doing this? The primary problem with getting and measuring results using this link method is that the links on these profile pages take a very long time to be discovered by the search engines. If you perform a reverse analysis of your websites, you will be able to see whether or not your profile links have been discovered. If they have not, then you need to take action to get the search engine spiders to crawl those sites so that the links can be counted. Otherwise it could take 3-4 months before they are counted, if ever. Hope this helps, Neil
You need to keep building backlinks. The higher the serp, the more competitive it is and the more backlinks you will need
Angela's backlinks are of low quality and also irrelevant to your site. Having some of them is slightly better than having no links at all, but the returns are diminishing and wear off pretty fast, so adding more and more makes little sense. I agree with the poster who says that things get much harder as you get up the SERPs. You need to find other link-building options!
I would definitely diversify your link building strategy with some quality high pr links. I think it will help your ranking.
I think I'll be contributing on this thread with a 1000 Do-Follow Blogs/Social Networks/Forum/Website List where you can do fruitful commenting for decent backlinks.
I totally agree with the other members. Article Marketing is still one of the best and most affordable way of link building. It combines all the benefits of one way backlinks and cost you nothing more than the time involve in writing the article and the time to submit it rather than directory submissions.
Yah, it definitely helps but you need to mix it up. I did a test on this method once and saw an immediate boost but then a steady drop down the SERPs. Same with Link Wheels. The good ole blog post is still the king of links.
To my experience, link purchase has been the best of all. I have used this technique again and again successfully and the results come neither in years nor in months but in days. Still it is necessary to mix it with other techniques for future improvements in Google algorithms.
In my opinion. To get a good rank on Google. Link is just one side of web build. Of course, Good backlinks such as high pr, press release, article submission and blog comment. Make sure that do not give a lot of back link one day. add more links to your website day by day.
I think you need to add other types of links. With Angela and Paul's a number of those are removed over time and it doesn't look like a natural link portfolio to G. Consider outsourcing some article writing and video creation as well to create different types of links.
In my opinion you should do some article syndication, guest posting, blog commenting and forum posting.
