    Can anyone else please offer me advice on how I can effectively optimize my blog?

    The first thing I noticed is there are too many outgoing links... About 110... And 115 incoming... Try to make comments no-follow, otherwise some users might spam your blog with something unnecessary. You might want to add categories widget...
    It is good that you write your own content. Very good! Update your blog regularly and it will be great! In general, it created very good impression!
