    I bought a metal detector!

I haven't found anything really valuable yet, but at least I'm making money.

They're worth next to nothing - but they're nice to have.

I'm hoping to find some gold sovereigns. Or at least some antique jewellery or firearms :p

    I still haven't hit the 1800s. But I'm close...

In the central Victorian goldfields. Amongst about 10 tons of old tin and fencing wire.

A metal detector is something I have wanted since I was a kid. I tend to search for gold on the net now, but this remind me, I will buy one.

I tried out my friend's metal detector once and all I hit were stacks and stacks of beer bottles. :D

    I adore you.

I want a metal detector, but to buy one in Vancouver is a little suspicious. I'm Russian, so that just adds to the "illegal alien" theory.

I like the silhouettes of the kangaroo and moa (I think that's what that is - or an emu?) on that one old coin.

Metal detecting can be fun. I live far inland, though, so I've only found rusty nails and old farm implement teeth.
