I bought a metal detector! I haven't found anything really valuable yet, but at least I'm making money.
They're worth next to nothing - but they're nice to have. I'm hoping to find some gold sovereigns. Or at least some antique jewellery or firearms I still haven't hit the 1800s. But I'm close...
so you are having a search! keep searching and best of luck, i know some day you will find something really valuable! those coins can be a pretty good collection, cheers!
A metal detector is something I have wanted since I was a kid. I tend to search for gold on the net now, but this remind me, I will buy one.
At first I thought this was about something else lol Those coins look cool! I wonder how much they're worth.. time to watch Antique Roadshow! lol
how many hobbies do you have??? metal detecting, photography, under water basket weaving??? cool finds...I'd use them for photography subjects myself
I adore you. I want a metal detector, but to buy one in Vancouver is a little suspicious. I'm Russian, so that just adds to the "illegal alien" theory.
I like the silhouettes of the kangaroo and moa (I think that's what that is - or an emu?) on that one old coin. Metal detecting can be fun. I live far inland, though, so I've only found rusty nails and old farm implement teeth.
It's an emu (it's our coat of arms!). I'd never heard of the moa before. They look like bad ass birds.
