Hi guys I'm sure some of you are now aware of my latest project, a fully featured cloud management suite, entitled "Webula" (pronounced like Nebula). Webula will be based upon open-source software provided by ownCloud : http://owncloud.org/ Here are some of the apps that will be included with Webula: File Storage - Store files just like you would in your own PC News - A news reader based on Simple-Pie and Bootstrap Music - A Fully featured storage and streaming application Contacts - One convenient area to store all of your contacts Bookmarks - A library of all of your bookmarks Calendar - A Time Management app Tasks - Similar to Wunderlist, but with integration with Contacts and Calendar apps Pictures - A hub for all of your photos in your cloud Journal - Create and store notes right in Webula Shorty - A link sharing service to share with other members on your cloud Mail (Unconfirmed) - A fully featured mail client (based on Roundcube) right withing Webula Videos (Unconfirmed) - A hub for all of your videos in your cloud I've now officially started development on it, and I've decided to keep you guys updated weekly on my progress with it. Here's a quick shot of the download page, this will show up whenever a user allows you to download a file from their cloud (much like Mediafire), take note that this is not a mockup, this has been taken straight out of the browser High-Res Shot More shots to come!
very Good idea you've got there. Please, i would like to know if your project is part of owncloud or is hosted on owncloud. Also i would like to have a link to your project so i could follow its development. im a really huge fan of cloud computing and would like to know more on this area. Thanks
You guys can follow Webula here on Behance (http://www.behance.net/gallery/Webula-A-Next-Gen-Cloud-Platform/9333853) also just a quick teaser, the next app we're currently developing is a cloud-based editor for Webula based on this: http://idered.pl/editr/
Checked the link. That sounds awesome. Universal access to all my data, that can help! Thanks for the info. Will keep track on this post now.
