No idea where you live but maybe there's an insect in it... like a baby hissing beetle or something?

I may be the cooling fan. Make sure your not blocking the cooling ports. Over heating the processor takes life off the computer.

thats due to cooling fan, which creates strange noise when air flow areas are obstructed.

Don't put your laptop on bed,it decreases
its performance.Because the hot air doesn't
pass out completely from laptop due to non level
    base.

Using it in Bed! Ahh, Do you mean you use the laptop by keeping it on the bed? Most of the laptops have their cooling system beneath so make sure that you do not block the cooling area and not let the laptop heat. Place the laptop over a cardboard or a notebook in case you use it on bed. You should be aware that using on bed might blow off your laptop's motherboard and you might be in deep trouble!

    Dear FireStorm,

Well definitly your Laptop Fan is having some problem for sure. I'll suggest you to go to a Laptop Service provider and get your fan checked.

Problem if your Laptop fan does not work properly :

    1. More Heat, it may affect your Laptop other hardwares also.
    2. Your Battery Life will automatically decrease.

SO well get your Laptop fan repaired or rather replace it with a new fan.

    Take Care :) :)

There may be a problem of Fan, may be stucking out there, or the air is not passing properly of the fan due to the positioning on the bed. And if the sound is irritating then you should contact the hardware specialist for servicing.

Yea its definetly the fan. I would use a can of compressed air to remove the dust built up - try using one of the laptop tables it is a pillow on one side and a hard surface on the other this will maintain airflow.

I think that the bed make your laptop temperature go up, thus cause the fan run faster, Aks some experts to relocated the fan may resolve this problem.
Or try taking the laptop battery out connected with wall power and open the cap.

of course it's the cooling fan or maybe some virus that can overlock harddrive rotation speed.

Maybe strange sound due to no air circulation (over heating) in bed.

You provided the answer your self it is due to the bed that the fan air gets the obstruction and the lappy gets over heated as well as the fan makes the noise so the next time try to get lappy on the table or another plain surface and you will experience the difference, also there are now stands there in the market to get you rid of the problem
