Did you install any software recently?
Since when you are facing this issue?
Are you getting any warning or error message?

I have one too. I just leave it at home now.

What's the manufacturer and model? Maybe a known issue.

I know when we moved our servers from one datacenter across the street into another building last year, we popped them open and blew everything out. For being in a pretty clean environment, they were still kind of dirty with dust. And a roach or two.

I'm the type person who doesn't have a problem with popping open a case. If you do, I'd take it to a shop and let them do it.

Will it fix it? I'm torn actually. I don;t see any one mentioning problems with the model so it's not like a design flaw or anything. (Had a dell like that a few years back.)

If you turn it on and just let it sit there and do nothing to it, (ie let it idle like a car) does it still shut off?

Where along the process of loading windows does it shut down? Randomly? When you get the bar along the bottom? Login screen?

edit: Have you tried safe mode?

Since it's a "known issue", I'm sure you'll be providing a reference to it on the net shortly so we can see what the discussion is and what folks have tried.

It only shuts down if i have started the laptop immediately after it faced an automatic shutdown. Sometimes at the bar sometimes when the windows wallpaper and icons are loaded. it depends

Honest answer: I'm at a loss without sitting in front of it. Best bet would be to try one of the hardware support forums.
