My laptop gets slower after running an hour or so

    Go to power management and setup the OS to optimize for a laptop, and set for maximum performance.

    After your battery is below 80% (about an hour) the laptop automatically starts rationing electricity to keep the laptop running longer. It slows teh colling fan and processor. Try using the laptop while its plugged in, this should fix problem, or at least tell you this is not the problem. Or try the powere management setting change I wrote about above.
