The template is fine but i think you place the text links with in the posts which is present at the top

Use a plugin called all in one adsense to boost ur adsense earning .. ur ad placement isnt very good.

It's not manually possible with Wordpress. Your ad widget always appears on the right side if you use the text widget for adding your adsense code. If you use the plugin I suggested above, you can place ads after each post/above each post etc. where more ppl will see your ads and ending up in more clicks.
