My IPOD will not skip songs

    Ok, I'm ready to throw out my iPod. The thing has been acting strange for the past six months...I'm hoping one of the 6 billion DP forum users could offer some advice.

    So here is the deal. I'm playing a song. I don't like the song so I press the skip button. BUT the song does not skip (this is very important because the song is one from the Clay Aiken Christmas Album my wife decided to download to my iPod)...it merely goes to "shuttle" mode so I can forward through the song. What the heck? When I click the skip button it should go to the next song.

    Any idea what the heck may be wrong? BTW, I've already tried to restore to defaults

    sorry, can't give you any advice. Ipod suck big time and i 've never own one..
