Well, Just changed my ISP , brand new IP, and head to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=ip+to+location&btnG=Search Checking the first ones from the list: http://Ip2location.com says i am from "UNITED KINGDOM" http://www.seomoz.org/ip2loc says "Location not found" http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm says "We are unable to locate the address xx.xx.xxx.xxx at this time." http://www.ipaddresslocation.org/ says i am from "France" http://www.melissadata.com/Lookups/iplocation.asp says i am from "UK" http://www.maxmind.com/app/locate_ip says "Country N/A" http://www.ip-adress.com/ ... keeps loading trying to find it... http://ip-address.domaintools.com/ says "United Stats" and Finally http://www.hostip.info ... says "actually we haven't a clue." Funny??? I am from Romania.
Some IPs are weird... I've been all around the world from my PC.. Once it said i'm from United States.
The only possible explain i can think is that these are new IP's and are not yet included into IP databases. I am curious to see how much this will long.
I have a fiber optic connection. But i didn't managed to get any web page that can tell my country right.
