Hi guys! I'm new here and this is my first post. I was not really an online marketing guy to start with. I worked as a technical support representative for several companies and as a real estate property consultant. Add to that, i'm party animal. It's a good thing that I can handle periods of introversion eventhough I am an extremely outgoing guy. Now, due to health problems I decided to take a break from the 9-5 grind (more specifically 11-7, I'm usually on graveyard shift hehe. I also read books on business and I decided that this will be a longer leave from the mainstream way of making money. I also do MLM - the live one and have been fairly successful. I decided that i'm on the losing side if I continue down the regular j.o.b path due to my illness and location issues. I left work a bit more than a year ago. My mindset was also starting to evolve. I had a lot of cash on hand back then due to my commissions and some savings, and I thought I was gonna be able to pull something off. Alas, what happened was not exactly what I expected. I bought a nice smartphone, did mlm part time, partied till I drop, and lost some poker games. LOL To top the cherry off, I needed to undergo surgery. Then my money slowly got depleted until that year's christmas. From that point on was one hell of a recovery. Being the ever-resilient and proactive guy that I am, I did what I naturally do. Recollect, recover, train, research and meditate. Never for once I was not taking action. I am always hustling. I formulated a business plan for an online venture that is soon to be realized. But not now. Got a couple of trusted friends and talked to them about it. Hopefully it goes well because it's really awesome. It just might beat facebook. haha My mlm assets and date-coaching sideline were not enough to cover my expenses. And there I was, almost broke. But undeterred. Still energized, armed with a winning mindset, ever persistent and committed. Like most of you guys here, I was searching for solutions online til I stumbled upon a pretty landing page, and a pretty convincing marketer too. I got hooked. They really know how to hook you in. I was amazed. I was inspired. I though that this is it. This is my solution. I was mistaken. Through the promise of instant online income software and stuff I gathered the motivation to set up my own domain and hosting (I can do this myself since i'm technically advanced) and set up my first ever website. A web blog that complements my coaching service sprinkled with affiliate banner links. I also did the seo, backlinking, article marketing etc. I was starting to learn the ropes. I even lost money on PPC. hehe It's actually cool. I just need more knowledge and experience. But alas, it was never going to be that easy until I understand the whole of it. I studied and applied. And I got tired. No clickbank sales. Lots of traffic but no sales. I also aim to create my own product (dating) but that has to wait, for now. I'm sure that you are familiar with this pattern. Until not too long ago, I started to make my first REAL money online. It was my first $100 online. I started to believe. Now things are rolling. It is possible. I am here to tell you that it took me four months before I was able to make my first $100 online. But that's all I needed. I know I can do this stuff from now on. I am thankful I have seen a lot already in the IM world. I am starting to discern the wheat from the chaff. That's what constant exposure and experience does to you. Now I am threading the path to make my first $1000 online. Definitely achievable with what I know now. I will do it. I already achieved what I initially set out to do. Even though it was hard. Some people even take years or sadly, no money at all. I am here to tell you fellow newbies that YOU CAN DO IT. This was not a part of my world. Zero knowledge at all going in. Now? I'm about to make a killing. keep at it. you will breakthrough. As you may notice, this is not a sales page. This is a real story. From a real guy who tried his best to learn the ropes in the IM world. So for those on a similar journey, I can say we can already see that everything is starting to come within reach with each faithful step we take. Cheers to all of us!
A most interesting story and I can assure you, you are not alone in your endeavours. People come into IM for all kinds of reasons - I was formerly a teacher in UK, then shifted to Kenya.
