Word of caution: It is not finished in the least, and the gallery is not up quite yet. However the blog and the forum works. http://jackuulempire.com It kinda has a little bit of everything I can think of in it - and it is in no way serious. Well. To you anyways. I still plan to take over the world.
I really like the frontpage and the quote. Everything is made simple and understandable. But I would make a little more space between the header logo and the navigation logo.
I really like it. Its in my favorites to follow your progress. I have never seen that type of navigation before, its fresh (to me anyways). It reminds me of a "mind map" You could even add a mouse over effect to make the button change color. As step further would be adding a smaller version to your individual pages to show where a visitor is on your site. Here is a link you can use to make a favorite icon link (I'm not affiliated) http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/ PS - can you tell I like the navigation - Keep it up
I liked the scrunched look because it makes it easier to either put a footer ad and/or display at the old 800 x 600. I may drop the menu a bit as you are correct in it being a trifle bit too scrunched now that I look at it. Thank you for visiting and giving me your opinion! Secondary Note to anyone else that looks: I manufactured the forum theme myself (in a deep dark laboratory with eyes hanging from the ceiling! Eyes!)
Blast! I knew I forgot that little bugger! I'll add the little favicon thing as soon as I resize an image logo and create the file using my tools of doom and unholy alliances! Thank you for reminding me! As for the interactive images that change when the mouse goes over - will that work on an image map? If so I am extremely interested. Edit: I used your tool instead - faster and better. Uploading now!
Very interesting concept of menu on the opening page, just would be nicer if you make first page more coherent with another one (mainy I mean background color). But it's very nice.
I will take the background colors into consideration - however the reason the first page is on a white background is that it makes it easier and palatable. I will be doing the same with the news page - however the forum theme and the directory I like as blue. I just haven't decided which way to go yet. Thank you for your input!
If you filled the site's name with blue instead of white.. it would stand out more. Also maybe blue for the button colors as well?
