My indexed page and backlinks dropped.

    Hello

    After Update, when I checked one my website's PR via smartpagerank, I saw dropped down in indexed page by yahoo and backlinks from other search engines.

    Why is this happening? Please suggests.

    Don't know what happened to you, other than some of your backlinks may have been from sites Google targetted.

    Mine went up quite a bit today, so it's not happening across the board just for your info.

    Add more back links then ;)

    This is very common if you don't constantly add back links and quality content.

    Google never shows your real time nubers using Link: or Site:, try Looking into Googles Webmaster tools.

    Did you buy a lot of links from unrelevant sites?

    Maybe a coincidence because PR update has nothing to do with Yahoo! indexed pages or backlinks. :p

    Just continue on building links. Dropped in indexed page and backlinks of your site could be due to SE updates. Just wait and it will back to normal.

    deadlinks could be one of the possible reasons for backlinks drop.. just continue link building to achieve your previous standing
