Hi, I have an index file on my site, which points to my flash site, soon I will have my wp site replace the flash site. I wanted to know is there a way i can point my index.html to my wordpress.

I am getting high google placement from my current site and most of it is because of keywords etc.. on my index file.

Any other ideas so that I do not loose my ranking in google once I switch over to my wp site?

If content remains the same you don't need to fear. No matter if you use a static html or dynamic php site.

well considering my site is in flash and the new wp site will be different content it might be a bad idea to take my flash site down since it is getting high ranking. Maybe another idea is to get a new domain name and direct that to my new wp site and leave the flash one alone.

Well, leaving site in flash only is probably the dumbest thing you can do, since spiders are unable to crawl your site at all.

I would move entire site to WordPress, without thinking.

Yep. Flash really SUCKS when you're looking to rank a site for anything.
