I was using a tool ( http://www.kenkai.com/seo-tools-link-popularity.php ) , which I found somewhere on this forum and when I entered my site's URL to the number of inbound links to my site there were results from Yahoo,Altavista,AllTheWeb but there were no results from Google and MSN......I am not sure whether this data is correct or not,I guess if there are links from Yahoo then there must be links from Google as well...... Can somebody suggest me why this might have happened?
Don't think there is a solution for this. I also have around 300 unique links and 5 of them seem to belong to google. I think google is sharing the database with yahoo since there were a few times when my site was just out of google search, i scanned for my backlinks and i found my 5 links from google and others were just missing. But in 2 days got back in google ones the links came back. Sounds strange, but thats how it happened with me >.>
Maybe they haven't been updated it. I came across this problem with my site earlier on today, but I'm just waitin' and hopin' they backlinks will appear eventually .
For last few days, have been getting the same problem of Google backlinks not showing in link popularity tool like http://www.checkpagerank.net/index.php?name=yahoo.com&links=1 Maybe Google is updating backlinks and PR update is coming soon!!
heres nothing wrong google shows like only 1% of the real number of backlinks and olso updates backlinks rare 3-4 months or so so don't wory and keap building them
