I have more then 4000 articles on my site, and each article has atleast one image and I always write alt and title attribute in all my images. Still very few or none of my images are in google image search. Could it be because 1) I host my images on imageshack. 2) Some hidden trick I yet need to know. Please guide me
There is alot of different reaons why this could be happening. When it comes to images google looks at your page rank, content surounding the image, and your alt and title tags. If you want to get them on google you need to work on your PR, and make sure that the content around the image and your alt and title tags accurately relate to that image. As for image shack if they have a poor PR then it is possible that this is why your images aren't being indexed.
it depends on how well your site is indexed, also you have to setup the image search feature in google webmaster tools, after you've verified you own the page with a meta tag. Do that if you haven't done so already.
Agree with both answers.. PR, Title, ALT, and Related Content beside being verified in the WMT and enabled the Images feature
Thanks guys I have enabled the image search in webmasters lets see if something changes it was surely a hidden trick for me
I have a similar problem, I changed the photo names and I started to find them Good luck to you (btw: not all my images showed after this, but some are better than none)
About 10% traffic on my blog http://themelib.com comes from google image search. Is it good enough? Filling alt tag is one of the best advice
what all you missing is image name, not only alt and title will help. if a image name like 034_435.jpg will not make any help for spiders. Instead, you can go for nikon-F66-binocular.jpg, this is what makes difference.
