Ok Guys I have stumbled on what I think is a very good Idea. I have been thinking of it over the past week or so and belive I should do it! So now I have got 3 months of through the summer because my exams are over, I think i should set up about 10 individual tutorial blogs. They would all specialse in seperate niches, they would probally all have about 10-20 articles wrote by myself on different tutorials. Hopefully over the 3 Months i could get some decent traffic going to them and make them all sucesfull. I would adsense them all up and maybe by the time the 3 months are out I could be earning about $50 per day from them all. I wonderd if anyone had a niches they think need tutorials in? Also any help would be hugely accepted! I would say this is a very big task ahead of me but wanted to know what you guys think on this subject and whether you think I should go ahead with doing this or not??
I would suggest the niches of Computer and Internet. Computer for like improving Windows performance or general tweaking of an OS, and internet for tutorials on different things on the internet.
The idea... I don't know if it would be that easy. 10 blogs and at least 100 articles.... If you are gonna write them alone then you won't have an easy time. If you are gonna outsource it that wud be some money. It's not that easy to get traffic that would make you $50/day. $500/day in all. Actually, you would struggle to get traffic in the beginning. And I don't think you would start earning even $1 a month with the amount of traffic you'll get in the beginning. And after you've done this amount of work or spent the money it would be nice if you got the money. So, I've a feeling that your idea is a bit impractical. Sorry, for that.... Hi there I agree that writting the articles would take about 1 month, setting up the websites about 2 weeks and then 1 month advertising. I think i would need about 50,000 UVs per day so 5,000Uvs from each blog to get making some serious cash!
Pick a niche that you know about/interested in. How are you suppose to write tutorials for something you have no idea about. What is your plan? You think you can set up the blogs, fill them up with tutorials and with a few backlinks you will have 5000 daily uniques? 1) You will need fresh content at least twice a week. 2) Unless you are a marketing/seo guru I really doubt you will be able to achieve 5k uniques/day even after a year. I have got a bit of cash for seo work but no more than $400, i think im looking at about 6,000 backlinks to get some traffic in?
I can see my plan s under some interigation!! Ok 6,000 We firslt ywould submit the site to 50 directories dailys which is still under the limit to flood google with links, that would contribute adbout 2,000 backlinks. Secondly i would place the links on other blogrolls purchasing blog space. This would contribute about 100. A Few of the niches i would find forums on and get the word spreading about my tutorial site etc. Then submit to some social bookmarking sites. Maybe wouldnt hit 6,000 but would get into the thousands easily!
One of my sites for example has over 70k backlinks yet the average is around 900/1200 daily uniques. So 6000 might not be enough.
To maintain 10 websites well would take a lot of effort. I struggle to maintain 2/3 and I'm as free as you are. Something to bare in mind.
Are you planning in just regurgitating conent that is already out there on the internet, because I think users are getting wise to this, and they don't hang around once they spot it. A nice informational site, with unique content, is best, and will receive many more visitors than one which is a copy of others published work. Not saying that is what you have planned, but how can you just decide to write about something you are not an authority in?
