My .htaccess file keep reseting when I click on "Change Permalink" in Wordpress?

    Hi,

    My .htaccess file keep reseting when I click on "Change Permalink" in Wordpress. It resets even though I don't make any changes, just clicking on the button triggers the event. It resets the .htaccess contect to #start #end nothing inside and I get 500 Internal error when it resets. Does anyone know how to fix it. I am using Godday hosting and tech support is not helping at all.
    I tried making it writable but issue persists.
