My hoplink appearing in my browser has nothing to do with cloaking, correct?

To clarify, my hoplink showing up on whatever product i'm promoting's site after the customer has clicked on my link has nothing to do with whether or not I cloaked my link, correct?

    For example: htp://example.cm/?hop=myhoplink

The hoplink showing up on the tail end of the product's web address in my browser is simply the decision of the product's owner and has nothing to do with me, correct? The cloaking only affects my affiliate link on my affiliate page, am I right?

That's totally fine. Some publishers strip it from the URL though, they reckon it may aid conversions I think.

Thanks, and I'd think it would help with the conversions personally, but until I take a trip down into publisherville, it doesn't matter much.
