Good job at web2.0'ing it out...but I think you still have a little room left for more in the far right side. That "Lil Wayne Didn't Have Too Much Coke" post is interesting to say the least I love hip-hop as well and it looks like you'd really like this one...
looks a little plain, you need a header image for sure, and im not one for pop ups, so maybe get the pop up off the site, and just add some color
hm, personally I think you should move the categories and other links somewhere else to make it a bit more neat.
i like the simple design.. but it might be too simple! And the link you give did alot of domain forwarding which made my eyes go nuts! But good job! If you not a very computer designer type guy, you can always find a freelancer to design your site! Some will do it for 30 to 40 bucks! Good Luck!
