Hello everybody. First off I would like to thank you for taking the time out to read my post. Any and all help is greatly appreciated and will be rewarded via rep. So basically this is what I am looking at. I currently sell a book about how to backup your video games. gamecopyingguide.com/youtube/ . I have had hundreds of satisfied customers but still I am not happy with my conversion rate. When I surveyed my current customers a few of them said that they thought it was a scam when the first saw it. This is the answer I was looking for since I have seem people post comments on my product in various places thinking it was a scam. For some reason I cannot get my visitors to leave their past experiences at the door and open up their mind to what I am selling them. One of my customers and now a fairly decent friend told me that my big flashy headlines is what made him think it could be a scam. He said that everything I said about the book was true but it just made it look like it was to good to be true. This is my headlines from the old page before I updated it. ------------------------------------------------------------ You May Find Other Video Game Copying Techniques On The Internet, But Can A Single One Of Them Claim This? When I first opened the site and offered the book they where at an amazing 35%. Yeah the good ol days. lol So where is what I threw together last night after hearing from a few people that they thought it looked scammy. ---------------------------------------------------------- "Are You Tired Of Searching All Over The Internet To Do Research On How To Copy Video Games? So the graphics where finally added yesterday as well. Alright so we put on some cool graphics and made the headline so nothing was being hyped up. Not even a single mention of the book in there. Since doing this last night I have got about 80 uniques and drum roll please ...................................0% conversions WHooooo! Oh sorry they went the wrong way. Was expecting to see something better than that. Keep in mind that I am sure both you and I know that 80 uniques is not good enough to get a conversion rate. Since it is simply just to little traffic to make an accurate decision. I am sure that I will know a lot more accurate result after at least 1000 hits. But that will not be for a few days and I was hoping to make money now. Ar'nt we all. So any suggestions that you may have would be greatly appreciated. If you are a gamer than please give the site a glance and tell me what you would think would close the deal for you. You help is very much appreciated. If there is anyway that I can help you in return just let me know. I owe you one.
Dude, your posts is long that,it took me 10 mins to read it also.. Well, did you mess up anything in it?? Just look it carefully, and then you can get the fix urself only. Goodluck..
What's your url, Terry? And you are saying at one time you had 35%, 3 out of every 10 of your visitors buying your product??? ... Giving you their money??? Sorry, man, but THAT one is hard to believe. Maybe you mean sign ups? The 1.5% is average. 1, 2, 3 out of ever 100-300 visitors buys. It ranges up and down, of course. But that is the average range. During holidays it rises, of course. Also, how do they know about your site? If you are doing ads, let's see one of them. It could be all worded wrong. You want buyers, not visitors looking for free stuff, or window shoppers.
how much r u willin to pay, for a good suggestion which "may" help you, but would definitely improve ur content and display! PM me!

So you're selling pirated copies of video games and having trouble selling them? Have I got that right?
It's good that you're testing. But you need to be careful about surveying people. A good number of people on the Internet think ANY site that sells something is a "scam." Yet many people still make money from these websites. It's good to test, and to test radically different approaches, which you're doing. Here's my suggestions. You're right in not using an exclamation mark. You're right not to mention a product or selling anything near the top of the copy (save that for way later). But what you need to do is get specific. How about something like... "Finally... The Stupidly Simple Method For Copying Any Major Console Game In 5 Minutes Or Less... Guaranteed. "Works For: Xbox, Gamecube, ..." (etc.) "If you want to save hours of time trying to back up your games, then keep reading because we've already done the hard work for you and spelled it out step by step..." That's not hypey. It says what it needs to say. And it gets them reading. Cheers, Stephen Dean stephensblog.com
also, try to keep the 100% guaranteed thing out of your title or your workup. anything that boasts too much about a product, I generally mark up as being either a scam or not worth the time to sift through. props to stephen dean, his suggestions are sound
Hi Terry! I found this website last week and I think it may help you. It will give you a score of how well your headline "will impact the readers in a deep and emotional way". At least you can keep trying until you get something that keeps the tester happy. Here is the website - http://www.aminstitute.com/headline/index.htm
