My google traffic is stuck at a fixed number

I get around 9000 visitors from google each month, and that number is stuck for the last 3 months, even though a hundred new articles were added during this time. What's strange is I continue to receive new traffic for my newer articles but at the same time I'm losing traffic for my older articles. And my ranking for some of the keywords hasn't changed these 3 months. Though some of them have dropped. Do I constantly have to get more and more backlinks even for my older articles? WTH!

    Please suggest some means.

Well, is all the articles that you have written targeting the same keywords? If this is so, you can try other keywords. If not, you can start to have better search engine ranking positions for your articles by building links to them.

I think building some back links for the older articles will help.
