Hello! I've been writing my case, and also ask this fellow to chat. Well, this is my first case of seo work with backlinks, here we go: I created a site and left it parked for a long time (2-3 months) with the same title, pages, text and so on. Last month I did SEO on-site, changed the title, text and pages. After the on-site SEO I did in two days, I started the Off-site, making an average of 50 backlinks in 13 days. After this time, Google re-indexed my site, changing its title, meta description, etc. (all modified on-site), and ranked 7th in the SERPs with my main keyword. I was very happy! After that, I continued working with the backlinks and made a small change in the title of my site, I made a few more links in 1990, totaling 140 backlinks according to Yahoo Site Explorer . It's been over 15 days, and Google re-indexed my site again, I noticed he did the upgrade from my title, however, has not changed its position in the SERPs nothing remains in 7th place in my main keyword. I wonder if he has not yet calculated the position of my site, or if those backlinks that did were few and bad to improve my rank. Anyone know me answer this? Thanks!
Have you analyzed the competition above you? They may have, e.g. 500 backlinks in which case your change from 50 to 140 would not change your position. Also other factors play a role in SERPs such as site's update frequency (new factor introduced in the Caffeine update).
Maybe what I am going to tell you is totally stupid (maybe) but... I usually try to make my research on google with different browsers and also using some tunneling and well, results from your mainly used browser will be totally different on other browser... because Google store also your preferred websites! Try to use this: http://www.scroogle.org/cgi-bin/scraper.htm and tell us if the results are different.
