Hi, if you'd like to take the time to do a google search for a term like 'unblock hotmail', then you will see the top result being 'Homework Helpers - .......' and then linking to hablink.net Well, homeworkhelpers.info is my site, yet all my results are going to hablink? It's strange because today and yesterday have both peaked my all time traffic level, yet my google results are going to another random site? Does anyone know a possible explanation? Thanks.
That's really weird - see: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...fficial&hs=YKB&q=site:hablink.net&btnG=Search
They use your site name as title, this is why you see "Homework Helpers" in the results title, but this is not a "redirect" you've got only 1 page in Google : http://www.google.com/search?q=site:homeworkhelpers.info
Okay, so hablink.net has that title, but redirects to hablink.net/forums Is there any legal backing I have to threaten them to take it down?
You can start with asking them to remove your site name from theirs titles before thinking about legal issues. And I don't know if your site name can be considered as a trademark or something. To me it's seem quite common words.. But I don't know the legislation about it, so, I can't say, sorry
With the title and description being the same, I would guess that this is a 302 hijack. http://www.google.com/search?q="Homework+Helpers+-+Helping+you+to+Unblock+Myspace"&filter=0 But the cache of hablink.net is different, and I would have expected to see your content there. Perhaps Google noticed it and fixed your problem.
