so im not sure if its just me or what, but i believe google has done some sort of update and my search results have dropped dramatically, anyone have any news on this? thanks
Personally I've seen quite a nice jump in position for some huge key words, not big enough to score huge trafic, but a step ni the right direction for sure.
I've seen some position droppings myself last week. Some minors, others out of the index. However, it seems to be on a pattern. 3 -> 8 7 -> 11 27 -> 100 70 -> 600 400+ -> out of the index. But then again this also happened a few weeks back, but they came back. It's only fluctuating.
looks like its a random positioning for all of us, some of my sites got better ranking and most lost its ranking, i guess its back to link exchange lol some people are saying google is not done with the update, and to wait a few more days or a week, anyone know anything about this?
Its going to take a while. Take a second and think about it. There are how many sites on the internet? And google has to update almost all of them. How long do you think this is going to take. i suspect 3 days to 1 week. But I really don't know.
Some of my sites lost position, but not much... One of them fell from #2 SERP to #4 SERP, another from #3 SERP to #6... So I am sure another update is going on.
seen the same thing. A few weeks back i had the same drop and them about 4/5 days i was back in the normal place. 2 days ago my site dropped ... and still dropped. Guys i think you should get ready as this to me looks like a indication of the next update and how it will effect us all. some people will be lucky and other unlucky !
I sincerely hope it won't be like that "bomb" update that killed SERP's for a lot of sites not that long ago....
I think it is still going on as well. Just wait a few more days and then you will know for sure where your rankings are.
I was ranking very high and all of a sudden my serps dropped 5 days ago my indexed pages have increased by 200 with in past 5 days but i am hardly getting any click and before it was 5k a day from google, i sustain my rankings in msn and yahoo. I have not made any sudden changes in site structure or back link spam and wonder what can be the root cause of such a drop ? probably it shall be fixed after pr update.
Google is updating the index probably because the PR update is just around the corner. Thats is why you will see a lot of changes in SERPs. Some of the sites I've been working on improved while a few others decreased in rankings. You should wait till the PR update happens.
Last week I had 25+ new accounts sign up per day. For 2 years it was averaging 10. The 26 only lasted for one week but it was amazing. If it comes back I am a very happy person.
