Hi guys, I'm sure this is one of the craziest doubts ever. My Gmail Inbox has a pagerank of 8, while my Yahoo Inbox has 0 pagerank. Why?
i always wonder why or how my personal pages like gmail or other member areas have pr I assume its due to the way the url are generated!
Well, a page which is accessed by using password cannot have real PR. In such case if you see PR, its toolbar which is guessing the PageRank based on main domain's PR. Another example is profile page of members on many forums (not DP), which sometime reflect PR -- its also a guess of toolbar since most of the time profile page is not viewable without logging in, so how does google can see and cache it? And assign PR? This example can be seen on SP forums.
I do, when I'm bored to death. I don't care about it one bit. I just wanted to know if there is actually any reason behind it or if my toolbar is playing tricks with me.
