My Google Adsense Earning is low HELP!

Hi everyone, I have been running a site for 6 years and recently someone suggested I put adsense on it to make a little money. I was quite excited by this thought so I have been trialing it for a while. My site promotes Percussion Music through my own research and with permission of copyright holders displays videos.

I have over 6000 pieces and here is a listing page:
    http://www.percussionmusiconline.com/tuned-percussion.chtml
    http://www.percussionmusiconline.com/6664.shtml

The banners on the left are private but the one halfway down page is Adsense and also at top of search page (1st Link). My CTR exceptionally low from what I have seen but CPC is great!

    Can anyone advise?
    Thanks,
    TP

In my view, that there are not many who have succeeded in earning a living with adsense. Of course, as I said, this is my opinion.

Adsense requires a lot of attention to details. It requires knowledge of placement, colours, font style etc etc. You cant even put the post in the right forum so that is perhaps a good guide to the problem. :(

    My advice:

-make sure your niche is lucrative enough - I'm not sure about how well you can earn with the musical instruments niche, but finance and travel are quite good paying
-be sure to use multiple AdSense ad units, as Google permits
-experiment with colors, see which attract more clicks
-check your traffic: how much of it comes from where, for which keywords (if you receive a lot of foreign traffic, it could mean lower CTR/CPC etc.)
-which pages on your site are getting the most attention (sometimes thin content pages attract more than the main/primary pages)

Don't invest so much in SEO, worry more about keeping the site simple and fast to load.

What a loooooong page. Why not split the list into several pages, with each page serving a new ad. Also, I didn't see any ads halfway down the page. Only one I saw was near the top.

In my understanding is that Adsenses do not earn a lot of money. You need to drive a lot of traffic to your website in order to earn money from adsenses on your website.

I suggest you go for words with a higher CPC. But go local. There'll be less competition and you'll get some business. Enough to make it worth your while.

Well there are many reasons involved in it. Make your site according to users choice, make vicible and easy to search on your site what visitors want to search. You may get guidelines from adsense results analysis.

    Here is whats your problem:

Google is not showing relevant ads because there is no advertiser in your niche. As a result, some other ads are shown by Google which results in low CTR.

I think your website visit going down and also u need to think about google adsense ads, place your ads where ads more visible and clickable. More Visits more click on your adsense ads so focus on website traffic.
