My Gmail Account Hacked! ?

    This is so frustrating.

    My gmail account has been hacked, and through that they gained access to some of my big forums. I have managed to recover the forums, but now my main account is hacked? How can that be?

    If you used the same password on gmail account and forum it's quite possible

    Can you please give us more details?
    Same passwords on forum & email?
    Was it a strong password (ex.: dras56d4addas6DA$#@4) or something more like "god", "admin123" etc.?

    The main lesson here should be: for important online services (login to your website, email, online banking) use different passwords (so that anyone who gets access to one, doesn't get access to the others) and make sure the passwords are hard to guess. That means: use capital and normal letters, use numbers and include stuff like: !@#$%^&*(

    you should always have a backup of your imp mails and other stuff. Previously, one of my friends gmail account was gone!!! Later they revived his account...but to his surprise there was only a single mail in the inbox...that too an apology letter from google team.
