    yes the yahoo security and spamming protection department is too active. they always delete all the account which is no longer uses.

    Forget about it, make a new id and move on!! And do given below for future security -
    Format your PC or Scan with a good AV if you think there is some backdoor Trojan or keylogger installed on your system by the hacker.

    if the message archive is enabled, she can find id's of her friends from the archive folder (assuming she had used the same PC to chat with them).

    recovery password with yahoo is easy as long as you are the owner. Else go and sign up on gmail. Gmail is faster and less ads.

    Hey, hey, stay on topic guys. Insult the guy if you must, but not the girlfriend, you know? My advice is: stay away from Yahoo messenger, e-mail, etc. Horrible security and even worse customer service. There's little hope in getting that account back. Just call and call, maybe you get a human answering someday. But it'd have to be her calling, because *you* could be trying to steal her password.
